Wes Bryan
Wes Bryan has 30 years of experience leading diverse teams in the safe operations and execution of Department of Energy Environmental Management priorities. Through Amentum, he has demonstrated achievement in nuclear project operations, maintenance, radiological controls, and waste management leadership experience, including high-level waste tank farm operations. Wes has a proven ability to manage tank operations safely and efficiently while setting site safety and productivity records.
He is the President and Project Manager of Amentum-led Washington River Protection Solutions, LLC, where he leads the $10.1 billion contract. His team is responsible for the management of Hanford’s radioactive and hazardous waste tanks, in addition to integrating the site-wide efforts to initiate the tank waste treatment mission at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Hanford Site.
Before joining WRPS, Wes was the Director of Savannah River Remediation’s (SRR) Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) and Saltstone Production Facility. There, he successfully led the planning, management, integration, operation, and maintenance of DWPF, Saltstone and Glass Waste Storage Buildings in the completion of mission goals in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
Previously, Wes was the SRR Tank Farms and Effluent Treatment Project (ETP) Facility Manager, overseeing the overall operation of the Tank Farms to ensure tank waste volume reduction, tank closure activities, and maintenance/upgrades for tank farm infrastructure. He also managed the operation of ETP to ensure effective wastewater management.
Wes began his career in nuclear facility operations as a radiological control inspector, advancing to management in Savannah River and eventually for Amentum and predecessor companies at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project in Idaho Falls and at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Mathematics from the University of South Carolina. He and his wife have three children.
